How Can You Tell If Its A WAM? - Coin Community Forum

Savannah04 Valued Member United States 123 Posts	Posted 07/23/2010 9:24 pm How do you tell the difference from a WAM to a normal AM? I have tons of pennies and after I roll them into years and mints (which I'm about 75% of the way through) I will be searching them for errors, can anyone enlighten me on this? coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 07/24/2010 9:11 pm Pre 1992 Lincoln Memorials have the wide A M. 1993 all were Close AM (including proofs). 1994-2008 business strikes were Close AM. Proofs from 1994-2008 are wide A M's. The years of 1998-2000 some dies were hubbed with the incorrect types that would be normal. So the years to watch for are the 1998-2000 business strikes/proofs with the incorrect hubbed dies and 1992 Close AM's. Edited by coop 07/24/2010 9:15 pm Report this Post to the Staff
