How do you tell the difference from a WAM to a normal AM? I have tons of pennies and after I roll them into years and mints (which I'm about 75% of the way through) I will be searching them for errors, can anyone enlighten me on this?

Your help is very much appreciated.

Thanks Savannah

Those are great links. Once you see the A M separation and close initials you'll spot them easily.

Thanks so much for those links, they make confirmation on the WAMs very easy. I had the same questions Savannah, so glad that you asked.

Pre 1992 Lincoln Memorials have the wide A M. 1993 all were Close AM (including proofs). 1994-2008 business strikes were Close AM. Proofs from 1994-2008 are wide A M's. The years of 1998-2000 some dies were hubbed with the incorrect types that would be normal. So the years to watch for are the 1998-2000 business strikes/proofs with the incorrect hubbed dies and 1992 Close AM's.
