The cross appears to be raised. Is this a recognized VAM? I would have thought something so obvious would be a Top 100, but it isn't (at least that I saw anyway).

Do you think it is a legitimate coin? What do you think of it?

I know nothing about VAMs but this looks fishy to me, never seen anything like it but that doesn't account for much hehe

Oh yes, it is indeed raised. It actually is unique. There is not another 'exactly' like it, but many that are similar. It is called PMD. Here is another:

Want some? I can make three or four of them per minute. On the modern coin forum they call them die breaks and die cracks.

The coin is perfectly legitimate but the mark is not, nothing more than cuts that upwardly displaced the metal.

What the heck for $59,999.99 you can check it out in hand or you could get the cheap one for ten grand. LOL

Hhmph, Neither one of them is any great deal, I could let the pair of these beauties go for $5000. If another forum member here buys them before you have a chance to respond, don't fret, just let me know what denomination, variety etc, you want to see the error on, and I will hook you up....Special orders (custom errors include Star of David, hearts, skull and crossbones, etc) are $1000 extra.
