I was going through some of my old rolls and I found a number of these bank-rolled pennies from the Bank of Montreal with my little kid writing on them "1965". Still sealed.

Looks like a pointed 5. I could sort of see that they were small beads.

Is it worth more sealed or should I crack it open?

oh man what a dilemma......I personally would crack it open wouldn't it be the coolest to get a bunch of 1965 type 4 in MS.....I don't think I could leave it alone now knowing what you know about coins...

What makes you think they are small beads? Look at the way the edges of the paper are rolled down - it would cover up the beads completely, I would think, giving you no way of knowing which obverse variety you've got.
Unless there's another angle you haven't taken a pic of?

I'm pretty sure that's a blunt 5. But I'd have a look at the rest of the roll for sure!

Yea, its a blunt 5. The sharp five is elongated and a 45° angle. The sharp 5 was a fantasy on my part. I was able to lift the lip of the roll a crack to see the small beads. There is no way to get a picture of that for you guys. I am guessing its a roll of variety 2's, all mint condition.

Gotta thank me as a little kid for having the foresight to stash these rolls in a shoebox for so many years. What an adventure!

I can't bring myself to break the roll. I have another roll of US Pennies, 1968-D. It broke accidentally and its so sad to look at - No mystery.

It is a blunt 5 and they will all be the same if it is original bank roll, all the rolls I have opened in the past were all the same in the same roll. I never found any different type's in a bank roll.
