I was about to go hunting through the forum archive for an older thread with a similar pic... then I realized that this was the older thread... 
And I'm still clueless about it. At first I thought that the lettering on the back might be D Shl L, some kind of abbreviation for pounds-shillings-pence, and the capital L is definitely trying to be a pound sign £, but DSL is the "wrong way around" from the usual abbreviation, LSD.
The pound-shaped letter L puts it in the British / Colonial sphere, but beyond that I can't say.
