No, thank you, I won't, nor will I recommend that anyone here at CCF sign it.

Part and parcel of this bill is linkage to the Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement (SSUTA); no state may implement the provisions of the bill unless they join SSUTA. SSUTA makes sales-tax implementation for out-of-state businesses a streamlined process by mandating simplification of their tax code.

There are simple, easy-to-use software packages available to correctly calculate sales tax in any jurisdiction which is a member of SSUTA. Most importantly, SSUTA members are required to pay the cost of this software implementation for any seller without a physical presence in the state, and cannot by law hold a seller liable for miscalculation based on the information provided. All member states which have tax rates variable by location (city/local taxes) have online calculators available for free use.

Am I enjoying not having to pay sales tax for online purchases? Heck, yes. Do I think it's right? Heck, no. It's an unfair competitive advantage.

Hmm I'm in a weird position on this issue. I feel I am both for and against.

I think that pretty much says it.
