I was asked to take a survey in regards to pocket change and how much I had laying around...they offered 20 bucks to count and record it...stupidest thing !

They're probably trying to know if they should drop the penny or not. Either way I don't know how solid their conclusions will be - it depends on their hypothesis and who's funding this little research. Qui bono?

I know Normand Czepial of Ripon, Que. had 213,625 pennies at one time. I hope this helps the survey.

I was asked when I ordered the 2010 products. I blew it off because it was 3 AM, I had too muck scotch and was in Jam Jams. If I thought it would help to keep the Maple Leaf Penny, I'll go back and take it.

I was not offered to take the test ,but for $20 ,it would be a good excuse to roll up what is laying around the house

While ordering the gold coins today I took a survey, but they didn't ask about pocket change.

Ya it was really weird.
The guy said it would take 10 minutes..it took almost 30.
They seemed like they wanted to know if I would use a coin counting machine to cash in my change if some were available. If I would pay for that service or only use it if it was free. and about other/how many coins I had etc.If it hadn't have been the mint I would have hung up..lol

So if they want to know about coin machines, then are they are preparing for a massive penny cash-in? Imagine free rolls being passed out for your pennies as an incentive to use them and cash them in. It's not that far away, the dollar is set to inflate as usual. I believe that the penny will still be around for a few years even after it's discontinued. I would suggest they rename the denominations as follows. Get rid of the 5 cents coin as well, rename 10 cents = 1/10 Dollar, 25 cents = Quarter Dollar. I fear that if the penny is gone, the nickel is soon to follow.

Strage, the one I completed last night had none of those questions. It was mainly directed at improving RCM service and website.
