Can anyone tell me what the line is going through this coin? It doesn't look like PMD and it doesn't look like a strike-through. I noticed it also doesn't affect the letters. Any ideas?

Trapped gas can be on the fields or through devices.

Very interesting. I had no idea it would be in such a straight line. Learn something new every day :). Thanks for your responses.

So How do you determine the difference between gas bubbles and die scratches? WOLF

Gas bubbles can flatten with pressure in that area. Die scratches are very thin lined looking marks that raise. The difference is like a pencil line compared with a brush line.
