Seriously though, I do have some questions on the whys to the cleaning statements.
so I do see the hairlines and hat would indicate cleaning - a bad cleaning I presume. And with something that really scratched the surface? I've 'played' with really inexpensive coins trying to figure out how to spot (in a photograph) if a coin has been cleaned. Perhaps I'm doing a really good job with my cleaning because I don't get those kinds of lines. I get things like dirt still in the tiny spots, or dirt around the edge of a design element. I see that is this picture. could that also be a hint.
