Hi everyone, I recently picked up a nice collection of foreign coins. Alot of the coins are 1943-1945, mostly from the Philippines and Australia. I believe many are BU, but am not sure. I am going to pick a couple of each one for my collection, and I will probably sell the rest here on the forum. Any opinions on the grade are appreciated. Thanks David

First up is a 1944 Centavo

I would guess MS65 on the first and AU58 on the second, no pro here just my guess.

I agree with MS65 for the first one.
The second one could also be MS, with weakness in the strike.
You can detect that by flipping the coin and verifying if there is still luster on the high points, like the hair on the obverse.
If the luster is missing, the I would say AU55.

The Centavo is at least MS-64. The 25 Centavos is MS-63, with what looks like a worn and damaged die resulting in a weak strike.

Thank you everyone for your input. I also thought the centavo was a 63-65, the 20 centavo I wasnt sure the coin is lusterous but the weakness in the motto below the shield was throwing me off. Thanks again, David
