Everyones Thoughts On The Grades Of Two Philippine Coins

Alot of the coins are 1943-1945, mostly from the Philippines and Australia. I believe many are BU, but am not sure. I am going to pick a couple of each one for my collection, and I will probably sell the rest here on the forum. Any opinions on the grade are appreciated. maudry Pillar of the Community Luxembourg 588 Posts	Posted 08/07/2010 08:16 am I agree with MS65 for the first one. The second one could also be MS, with weakness in the strike. You can detect that by flipping the coin and verifying if there is still luster on the high points, like the hair on the obverse. If the luster is missing, the I would say AU55. echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 08/07/2010 11:03 am The Centavo is at least MS-64. The 25 Centavos is MS-63, with what looks like a worn and damaged die resulting in a weak strike. Report this Post to the Staff

I also thought the centavo was a 63-65, the 20 centavo I wasnt sure the coin is lusterous but the weakness in the motto below the shield was throwing me off.
