The reverse seems like it has a good strike, but I know VERY little about grading....

For me Peace dollars are one of the most difficult coins to grade due to the inherent softness in there strike. I would grade this coin at EF-40.

I agree with the EX-40. They did have notoriously weak strikes so it does make it tough.

EF40 sounds fair and the coin looks over-dipped in the images.

reguardless of strike issues, it has to many dings to be more than EF40, I think EF 40 is a good call......

Acknowledging the problem with weak strikes in these issues, I have to go with VF on this one. A high VF, probably VF-35, but I don't think it will quite make EF, again, looking mostly at the obverse. Always a great coin, either way.

I agree with bherring...XF-40 and heavily dipped. An XF coin over 80 years old will rarely be that white naturally.

yes I used a very low end scnner for this image. It has some shine in person, but the dipped look is coming from the scanning I think.
