I see that Air Tites are more expensive than Lighthouse capsules. Why is that? Or really my question is to ask if Lighthouse is as good.

The reason for my interest is that Lighthouse has those blue trays that I'd like to use.

I assume I could put Air Tites in those trays though -- but still interested in difference between capsule manufactures.

So questions...
-Air Tite vs Lighthouse vs. any others?
-Anyone seen any other tray/box solutions like the one in the link?

Thank you!

If your going to use the Lighthouse trays .. then you might want to use the lighthouse coin holders.

When I first got my lighthouse trays and cases, I had a box of Intercept shield holders. They fit very tight in the trays, so tight that was very hard to take them back out of the trays. Not sure how the AirTite will fit.

If I had to say which holders are better, I would have to say the AirTite's and the Intercept shield, but they cost a lot more. I am not saying the lighthouse holders and not good, as I do like them and will continue use them.

I just want to bring back this topic since we didn't have a clear answer on the differences of Airtites vs lighthouse capsules.

I understand Airtites capsules supposed to be snug-fit and should keep air out.
What about Lighthouse capsules? My local coin place selling a box of 10 capsules (19mm) for cent at $3.95/box.

Thank you for everyone feedback.

I don't have any experience with lighthouse holders. I got airtites myself, because I wasn't going to be using that many so cost wasn't an issue, and I liked that they didn't get in the way of enjoying the coin. I definitely get the appeal of the blue holder trays though. Have you been to airtites website though? http://www.airtiteholders.com They seem to have displays as well. Sometimes they don't have pictures, but ask them to mail you a catalog.
