Thought I'd share this coin with y'all - not one that's seen everyday. Granted, she's seen some use in the marketplace, but, still, not a bad looking coin - not rare, but they did make a mite fewer than the same year variety with arrows.

I'll say, 95,000 as compared to over 12 million. And that 95,000 figure is a bit misleading since most likely not all of them were released. The law authorizing the change in weight came very early in the year and once it passed any coins that were already struck but not yet released were melted down.

Y'know guys, I started using the Dansco albums as a collecting guide quite awhile back, and, if the album has a hole, I try to find the appropriate coin for that hole. The Seated dimes album has a hole for this coin, so.....
Yup, I overpaid for it, but there it was, and I was needing one - like I said, it's not a coin you see offered all that often on ebay, and I do most of my coin fishin' in that big ebay pond. In fact, there's alot of the ones I'm missing for my set that I've never seen offered for sale, and the few I have seen are priced so high that I can't even think about bidding, let alone buying.
If you'd like to see my (incomplete) Seated dimes set, I've got 'em posted in the member's galleries (Ralph). I just posted the obverse pages from the album, but it'll give you a pretty good idea of what Seated dimes I've been able to get so far. May never get the set completed, but I'm having fun with it.

I really like that coin. It looks a nice and crusty original piece. Good pick up!
