Found this Ike yesterday.

Why would someone only silver plate the reverse and edge and leave the obverse normal? Coin weighs 23.17 grams- heavier than the normal clad 22.68G ,but way less than the normal 24.59G for a Silver Ike.

Think this was for a medallion or something from the 2 marks on the Obverse?

Looks like it was jewelry at one time. Probably heat messed up the obverse.
