I can't figure this one out. I found this in circulation, there was something about the Capital Building that wasn't quite right. Is this a mint error?

The Capitol dental on the left side of the coin has three globs of what appear to be copper interrupting the dental and then a hairline up to the railing. The hairline is very hard to see on the photos but at 95x you can clearly see a line of metal. The largest glob looks like a small mesa with a camel-back to the second glob.

Looks like some die chips to me, formed along a die crack.

Just some die chips. Probably worth a buck on ebay.

That seems to be a weak point in the design. Like John1, I found whole rolls like that.

That was the first 2009 I've received in change. I have not seen a 2010 in change yet either.

2010 cents are common in change here, but you have yet to see my first LP4 cent from 2009 in change. That's the one posted here, with the U.S. Capitol building. My understanding is that they were short minted, and I believe to the point they will carry a premium value sooner than later.

I have one just like it, only I found mine while searching rolls. Usually the concept of local abundance applies (if you find one you find a bunch), but in this case I found exactly one. It may not be worth anything but I consider mine a major find.
By the way, the production numbers on the Presidency pennies are P-129,600,000 and D-198,000,000.
