A friend of mine just brought in a couple of notes to work. Unfortunately, I don't have a camera with me.

One is a $100 note from 1928. Low serial number, if that means anything. #L00111067A.

The other is a silver certificate from 1957, high serial number. #C99551859A.

Is there anything I should look for to make these special? Are they worth any more than face?

Both notes have creases from being folded a while back, but are now in flat protective sleeves.

I might be able to borrow them for pics tonight when I get home if there is anything worth pursuing.

The 1957 doesn't sound all that important. Maybe 3 or 4 bucks tops.

Sign into ebay and click on this link for completed listings. See if something resembles the $100 with same signatures and condition and type. I don't think the ser no is really low enough to get too excited.
Some of the common ones in here are sold for $110. to $120. and the higher values for Gold Certificates in Crisp Unc are worth hundreds and more.
