Figured I'd throw $15 on the craps table and throw the dice.
His image has been enhanced IMO but, it looks like the obverse could possibly be struck thru cloth and possible WAM

It's just my opinion but looks as if there is a weave pattern to the obverse. I have a Roosy that has the obverse struck thru cloth, and this looks pretty similar. I will know for sure once the coins in hand.

It looks like it was definitely struck through something. Like you said, you'll know better once it is in hand. At a minimum, I think grease.

As far as the WAM, that doesn't look like the right initials. They look more like the design that was used from '74-'85 when the gap between A&M were normal. Looks like an '84?
