Stopped into my favorite bank today and the teller handed me a nice crisp 1957 Silver Certificate she had put aside yesterday. It sure pays to be nice to them! She gets M&Ms next week!

That's pretty sweet all right. The tellers at my bank collect themselves so my chances of getting anything collectible are similar to an ice cube in... well you know where.

She is the vault manager and knows I collect. I stop in 1-2 times a week, and if she has old rolls, loose silver, etc., she holds it. No real big finds, but lots of small ones have added up.

Yup, I need to get friendlier w/ the help at my banks too. They give me the boxes that I order, but don't hold anything aside for me. I've taken pumpkin bread in over the Christmas holidays and they're grateful for that, but no special treatment. Maybe I just need to ask nicer.
