Welcome to Coin Community, mkaci27. That's a very nice little Eagle you have there. Obviously, the size and lighting of the photographs prevent any truly accurate assessment of the coin, but based strictly on the information available it looks to grade somewhere around AU55.

If the coin is genuine, and it has not been cleaned or otherwise damaged, such a grade would put its' value around $1400. They become quite scarce in higher circulated grades, and very few indeed exist in Uncirculated condition. In fact, Heritage Auctions, the largest numismatic auction venue, has never sold a Mint State example of this date/mintmark.

This coin needs to be authenticated and graded by a reputable third-party grader such as PCGS, NGC or ANACS.

Thnx SuperDave, this coin was on its way to be melted but I got to it before =)

I have found same coins on ebay and the prices are in rage of 2200$ to 4800$, also those on ebay
look more used then mine does, thats to my eye...

What would be the best way to make a picture of it, lightning etc, so somebody can grade it?

Where I'm from there are no grading companies, so I need to do as much as I can over web.

Thnx again!

I base my opinions of value solely on real-world results of actual sales, rather than any asking price or "price guide." ebay is a relatively accurate indicator on a grand scheme, but can vary wildly on individual issues. Gold is subject to sudden sea-change influxes of uneasy investors, and gold coins are in many cases far overpriced to take advantage of those who do not know its' true value.

We just assisted a member living in the United States to arrange grading for his parent's coins from his home in Asia. The major TPG's, who I listed in my first post, may be accessed from just about anywhere in the world.

That depends on what you might have available in terms of a camera. It's possible to shoot high-quality coin pictures with very modest equipment; in fact, we have a forum dedicated to that very goal:

You'll find me pretty active there. I'll be happy to see what we can come up with to accurately represent your coin.
