Here are a few 8 reales from Guatemala mint. I have found these coins to be very difficult to find in high grades due to poor production standards at the mint. However they are fascinating to me because of their rather crude appearance. Any opinions or comments welcome please.

1754. That is called "early style 5" and is found on Spanish Colonial coins from Mexico, Guatemala and Lima mints up through as late as 1765.

You are powerful pillar collector, although 3 of your Guatemala pillar between VF35-EF40 condition , they are very hard to find, both of them have correct scartches in the Guatemala mint which indicate that they are no doubt genuine! The 1754 pillar has a superior value than later date, but the most beautiful one I like is the 1768 pillar with rainbow toning.
I wanna see more of your collection inculuding portrait pillars!
