I just picked up this book. Have not had time to start reading it though. Does anyone else have the book & if so do you agree for the most part with the 100 coins listed?

Couldn't be completely a true report since it would have had to be written by me since I have all those coins.

Jeff Garrett is a knowledable guy, and I have most of his books. Just wondering if this is a "fun" book more than a reference. I'd Kindle a fun book, and buy a reference.

Then JC you are The Man! I just ordered the book from Whitman. When I read it, I'll let you know what I think.

The link that bobby listed is to the 2nd edition. The book I have is the 3rd edition. Now I'm wondering if the top 100 changed from one edition to the other. I'm guessing that it did.

Why of course it would change. There has to be a top 100 in the West, top 100 in the East, top 100 in the MidWest, etc. And don't forget there should be a top 100 for breakfast, top 100 for Lunch and so on and so on.

No I don't really agree with them, especially since about half of them are not really coins. They are expensive patterns and/or fantasies.

Sorry guys, I ordered 100 of the worlds Greatest Ancient Coins. Unfortunately it has to go back to Whitman, it wasn't the leather bound as they advertised.
