I'll get 10 to 30 at a time from the bank and use them for normal purchases. You ought to see the looks on the faces of cashiers when they get them. They'll often say "I haven't seen one of these in years" or "Where did you get this?".
Some will smirk as if I've given them something worth far more than face value, and a few will even pull a pair of $1s from their pockets and immediately exchange it for the deuce.

There's a really funny story about a guy who paid for a burrito at Taco Bell with a $2 bill. The manager called security, who then told the manager that $2 bills really do exist. The guy got his meal free, and the manager was made a dunce out of it.
Back to your original question, since I don't really spend money (I'm 14) I don't carry them around with me, although I do have some at home.

All the time.
A fun thing to do.
Also, we give them out for birthday and Christmas presents.

In the late 1970s when I lived on San Juan Island, Washington State, the owner of San Juan Airlines wanted to make a statement of the significance of his business on the local economy, so he paid his employees in $2 bills for one month. Two-dollar bills cropped up all over the county for months afterward. Nevertheless, the business eventually went belly-up; overhead was just too high.

This is ancient history, but when I was in the military, they paid us with two dollar bills as a method of finding out what the impact was for military spending on the local economy. I never did find out, all I did was spend the measley few bucks they paid us and waited for the next payday!!! I have some as souveniers and I think the last time I got a $2 bill in NJ was a few years back.

I have a few that I got as a kid stashed away in a drawer somewhere. I don't know when I last got one back in change. We have a customer at the bank who owns a barber shop, and he has a standing order for $200 in 2's every week. Apparently his haircuts are $18, and if someone pays with a 20 they get a 2 back in change. Pretty clever if you ask me! Rachel [:p]

I carry one in my wallet. Had it for about 8 years now. A friend gave me this note and said as long as I carry it with me I will always have a friend by my side. Everytime I see this note I think of her. I like to spend Ikes. You don't see those to much either. Some places around here don't like to take them because they can't get rid of them. They told me noone wants them and they have to take them to the bank.

I get them every week from the bank and I will always spend them to the corner convenient store with all the foreigners working there. I have been litterally refused my purchase and I told them they better call the cops cause I was taking what I had in my hands out the door when I left, they did and I did after the cop told them it was legal tender. That $2 dollar Bill is now taped on the cash register and wrote on with a majic marker "REAL" so now I have to find a new store to pick on, which isn't hard because I have found even the teenagers working at the local grocery store has never even seen them before

I keep one my daughter gave me for good luck :-) I also have an Austrian 20 Shilling note I've had in my (current) wallet for over 20 years. I got it when I was stationed in Germany. My first duty assignment. So Far So Good...

If you use them for tips, they will always remember you.

I see them all the time in the Houston area. A local recycling company advertises payment in $2 bills. But they disappear as fast as you get them. Someone always pulls them along with the Sac dollars. The tollway uses the Sac alot.
