I'm trying to identify these two coins.

The first is a 1/4 Kreuzer from 1819. I'm not sure exactly where it's from, though I suspect it's a German state.
The second is a 50 spielpfennig. There is no other writing on the coin. No date, nothing. It appears to be metallic, definitely not copper. I suspected it was a German state, but the markings don't seem to match any of them. The reverse appears to be a butterfly or a moth.

Please help!

I figured out the first coin. It's from the duchy of Nassau (United Nassau).

The 1/4 Kreuzer appears to be C#35 of Nassau.
Mintage 4,932,000 F 1.00 Vf 2.00 XF 4.00 Unc. 20 Copper
There is also C# 35a without a period after the date. Values as above, and included in above mintage.

50 spielpfennig is I believe, playmoney.

Thanks!

I'm still not sure about the spielpfennig. With nothing to go on, I don't even know what century to look into. I'm assuming it's pre-19th century.

It seems like a real coin. I have many coins from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, and this coin resembles real ones.

The 50 spielpfennig is, indeed, play money; "spiel" is German for "play" or "game". "50 pfennig" is a decimal denomination so it must date from after decimal currency was introduced with the formation of the German Empire in 1871. It probably dates from the early 20th century.

The brown staining looks like rust - is the coin attracted to a magnet?

That play money piece was probably designed in the late 1920s or early 30s. When I saw your photo, I immediately thought of this (real 50 Reichspfennig) coin ...

... which I think was the "model" for yours. And that one was minted 1927-38.
