Dated 2000. Are these hard to find coming out of Cuba? I recently picked them up for a couple bucks. Thought they were interesting. Thanks.

I see a lot of the older coins pre Castro, but I can't say I've seen very many more resent issues.

You probably won't see many modern Cuban coins in the US due to the embargo on goods made in Cuba (This includes coins minted in Cuba for other countries as well - such as Laos for example). I recently sent a large shipment to a dealer in the US and they were returned by US customs.

But that would affect the US only. So yes, it is quite likely that such pieces are rare in the US but pretty common elsewhere ...
