Thought I'd host a little speculation contest.
Silver is approaching $20 an ounce, and I believe it will breifly cross that threshhold and then drop back. SO - the contest is this:
Guess the exact closing price on the first day silver closes ABOVE $20 an ounce AND the number of days it stays over $20. I'll use MONEX to track. By having two parts to the contest it allows multiple guesses at the same $$ amount, and differing #'s of days there, which should allow more entries.
Prize - a nice shiny silver Quarter - winners choice of SLQ or Washington. I'll pick the date/mm.
If silver doesn't cross $20 by October 1st - the contest will be a no-go and I'll try something else. Good luck all.

I was wondering if you could clarify as it it currently $20.86 here in Canada.
EDIT: Ok, I just noticed the MONEX. I'll have to look that up.

oh and 20.09.
now for the number of days. is that number of days with out dropping to under 20? or number of days until it closes less than 20?
either way I guess one day.

# of days until it closes back under $20. And yes, it dipped over for a while today, but closed under on MONEX which is what we'll use for this contest.
I was just bored waiting for the next guess the price item and thought I'd throw this one up.

What? I can't short silver in this game. I'm bracing for the fall!
With that said, 9/8 $20.03 and over $20.00 threshold for 1 more day before it closes under $20 again

I'm in the same boat with everyone else. I think it closes by tomorrow at $20.18'ish, but doesn't last a day.
I think it gets nailed with resistance with a combination of stops being hit and new shorts, especially around $20.25-30, and there are bears out there foaming at the mouth to sell $20.50.
