You know, If you want a picture of my coin I can post it. If you would like a picture of my payment to the guy and tracking shipment to me I can post it. But don't say it suspect and ask for support and make me seem like someone endorsing suspect individuals. Someone on the long buffalo gold thread ask a question and I am giving a answer. If you don't like the email just say it, but go check out ebay and the guy feedback (now I sound like I am endorsing) You know what, forget it, I was trying to help someone who asked a question.

Well, please understand that you are posting a email in a new thread without the oringal thread. So for me, personally, I only see one part without being wise to a 2nd part. So in effect, I wasn't calling you suspect and more over don't need you to prove to me that you bought this coin. Just understand that without both sides, it's possible (even if incorrectly) that people will unknowingly judge in error. Sorry, again.

I would say by giving the details of this guys sale, you are endorsing and advertising for him. Personally I believe you are paying $200 more than they are worth (unless they are proofs). The first strike designation is meaningless and eventually people will realize there are thousands of first strike coins when there should be a very, very few. The grading companies are really putting it to the uneducated collectors. It shows just what they are made of.

Actually, it is illegal for an ebay seller to contact you outside of the buying forum to solicit you. You should not accpet this offer. You get none of the protections ebay offers by going outside that venue. If I were interested though, I would ask him to post a private auction for those items at those prices and then buy them...that is one of the reasons for a private auction. just my 2 cents... Bryan

Those are way to overpriced. Most buffalos are going to be in teh MS-69 or MS-70 range anyways, and first strike really means nothing. Just my opinion, though.

I'm sure that person appreciates the information, but for some reason I have the feeling that you are doing this in hope of making yourself feel better for making such a purchase. I happen to believe, as they say, 'seen you coming'!

I too was a little suspicious and at first, didn't understand the post either. I felt like I was reading something out of context. I don't believe that YOU were soliciting anything. After I re-read your post then I understood that you were just passing info along and truly the forum members appreciate it. However, it is my understanding also that e-bay sellers are not to solicit this way outside of e-bay on items that they have previously listed. These seem to be "extras" so I, honestly don't know the rules...I was just suspicious myself. We're all glad that you purchased the coin(s) that you wanted and felt that you received an acceptable value. I've seen MS69 & 70 for less $ or atleast comparable via other advertisements and so forth from established dealers. The end result is that you're pleased with your purchase and the longterm value outcome will be discussed for months to come.

I also feel that these are priced a little high. As far as an ebay seller contacting a previous customer directly offering something for sale, I do not see why this would be a problem. We have a very large customer base that mostly developed on ebay and we do a lot of business with these people outside of ebay. As long as this contact is not initiating from the ebay site, ebay has no say in it at all.
