These

Where-OH-Where? kinds of crazy natural formations I've only seen in museums (whatever happened to that Florida gold bar that got stolen?) I guess only miners or curators have the chance to see such wonders of the Earth.

I guess that is native silver. How heavy is it? I often attend gem and mineral shows. I also facet Yellow Oz. sapphire from Anakie in Central Queensland.

You can buy raw silver and gold nuggets from any of the mineral and gem auction houses. Be ready to pay a good premium though.

It looks really neat, but did you notice the size scale. That piece of native silver would just about fit on a postage stamp.

I think that makes it even more impressive considering the detail involved.

who said mother nature is not an artist. Having a few of these pieces displayed in the living room would look nice.

As to size, remember that 1 gram of gold is worth about 41 bucks right now. One gram ain't that large! Currently I'm bidding on 8.5 grams of river washed nuggets and it's already up to 250 smackeroos.
