It looks like there is a dropped "8" in there.
Dropped letters or numbers do have a premium attached.

It's a die break - nothing more than that. It's neat - not very valuable, but neat. And no, it's not a dropped letter or anything like that.

It is strange how a little metal movement seems to resemble a number or letter. The big clump is a die break though, and it is pretty neat.

It's just a die break. If it were a dropped letter or in this case, number, it would be much more clear as well as indented and not raised. Still, a very neat piece.
