Does that up the value on this coin or is it only worth it's weight in silver?

No difference in value from a normal Silver Eagle, so about $22-$23. Probably slightly less, since many people don't like toning on Silver Eagles and since there seems to be a little rub.

It's mostly toning but looks a little grimy too. May have been somebody's pocket piece.

SAE with character, VN. If it drives you nuts you could do the Baking soda/Water on Aluminum foil trick. It's bullion anyways.

Or if you want some serious toning you could do the warm hard boiled egg in ziploc trick.

AAHHHHhhh yes nothing like some nice scratched surface to make that coin look different. Battery Acid will do do a little also. And as a final try placing on top of a gas stove with burners on full for a few days.
OR leave as is.
