Thanks for the link SILDOL, I'll need to keep an eye on it to see what it ends up selling for.

I've only seen one other nearly complete Proof set (missing the 2010 coins) listed on ebay. I think it was listed for somewhere around $2500 but I'm not sure if it ever sold.

Hi SILDOL, I'm far from being an expert when it comes to pricing, but my guess is that the reserve price for that set is somewhere around $2300.00 US.

As for value, that's going to be a bit of a guesstimate on my part as I'm using what I think my set is worth, not trends values. I've got a total of 55 unique Proof Silver Dollars in my collection (see below for full list) while the seller has 42 unique coins listed, so I'm going to say somewhere between $3000.00 and $3500.00 US for the set on ebay.

Again, that's my personal opinion but I hope the seller can get more because it could mean that my collection is worth more

Here's a list of the Proof Silver Dollars in my collection;

Beauty set HAWK, more than impressive. Do you think grading actually adds any value to modern proofs like these? I'm torn in the middle somewhere.

I'm going to say that grading doesn't matter here - they're NCLT, and come out pretty nice - so none of them should be lower than -64 ... and most will be -66s.

Personally I wouldn't bother grading my set as I think the real value is going to be determined by how complete the set is, not the grade.

Besides, as rodime said these are not circulation coins so the grade will be pretty high to start with.

I'm glad to see that my estimate was fairly close to the reserve price for this set

If it does sell this time around, the new owner is going to have a really nice collection of silver dollars.

Wow, that's a great looking display Koin Hunter, thanks for posting the pic!

I'll need to get some updated pictures of my Commemorative Dollars when I have a minute. I've been too busy having fun with the new car.........I sold my '02 Firehawk and picked up a 2010 Supercharged Callaway Camaro SS.......:)
