I thought I would post up a couple of pics of my commemorative silver dollars for Koin Hunter since he also collects them.

I don't have any current pics with the 2009 and 2010 coins included, so these will need to do for the time being.........apologies in advance for the mediocre quality pics.

That is a very pretty collection. I just rented a case in an antique shop and put a good number of those you have here up for sale. Some of the ones I really liked I am keeping in my collection.

wheezydog, it's a good thing you're in the USA or I'd probably be visiting your display weekly and draining my bank account pretty darn fast!

Koin Hunter, it's my pleasure. Most of those coins can be found for fairly reasonable prices if you're patient and don't mind doing a bit of running around. Flea Markets or booths at Antique shops like the one wheezydog has are a great place to look. A lot of times the sellers are open to trades or at the very least, won't charge taxes on the sale.

I hadn't seen the 2008 100th mint anniversary one before...wow that is pretty with the gold plating
contrast around the rim...elegant, but not overdone. I don't collect commem silver dollars, but there
are four of five of those I wouldn't mind owning at all.

Hawk, soon you'll have enough posts to buy from CCF members. We can talk later.

1cent, yes the 2008 100th mint anniversary coin is a very nice with the selective gold plating and I'm glad I got it as it sold out fairly quickly. A few of the other gold plated coins were taken out of DD Proof sets and I was able to find them on ebay or at the Flea Markets that I visit from time to time.

wheezydog, how many posts do I need before I can make purchases?

Hawk this is one impressive collection you've got. Breaking sets to get the dollars... man, this is heavy.

But what about the loonies?

Thanks for the compliment canadian coins.

But I do need to clarify something.........I'm not normally the one breaking up the proof sets to get at the silver dollars, I usually look for someone that's done it for me and pick up their silver dollar for my own collection

The only time I did it myself was with the gold plated Joseph Brant dollar as I got two sets as a gift.

As for the loonies, they're sitting in a big coin dish and are used for my morning coffee at Timmies

Hawk, read these rules. https://goccf.com/t/11274
How many posts?

xshift, close-ups
My coins are in a shop 30 miles south of here. I do have an inventory and remember the condition of the coins. This isn't my thread though and it isn't the right one to be hinting of a sale either so I can't go on about these here.
Maybe I will post some for auction or sale soon. Sorry for being a "Buttinsky" and semi hijacking the thread.
The coins Hawk has there though are really nice and I couldn't resist commenting.

Hi wheezydog, thanks for the post count info. I tried looking for it last night but my search mojo was a little weak It looks like I'm OK time wise, it's just up to the admins to determine if my 53 posts (including this one) are of acceptable quality.

By the way, I don't think you were thread hijacking at all......I always enjoying seeing what other folks collect and look forward to seeing more of your collection.
