I know there are a few major ones out there. I have heard about one on the Wisconsin? quarter. I have been searching, and can't seem to come up with much on them.

Newbie alert!!

Anyone know where I can get pictures and more information on these. I don't need every little inidividual one for now, just the major ones to be looking out for in change here and there.

TIA

I'm not a State Quarter guy, myself, but the leaf errors on the Wisconsin is a popular one going around, then there's one on a Nevada, I think it was, that was posted on this site. the reverse was copper, and the overse was standard. I'll go check which state that was, if it was Nevada, I'll just let it slide, and not double post.

It was Vermont, under the heading, "A QUESTION FOR ALL."
I knew it had a V in it.

There's the extra leaf on Wisconsin and the extra tree on Minnesota and now the Vermont die error. I believe that is all of the "known" errors so far. The Minnesota error is fairly recent and the Vermont is, yes one of our forum members.

You may find pics on e-bay or just do a google serach for them. Someone here might also suggest a site for you to look at. I just don't have one handy. Happy Collecting!

Thanks Bryan and all. Kinda makes it fun to get change back from places knowing there is a chance to get something uncommon that a lot of people don't even know about. :)

I saw the "extra tree" coin on ebay and I was lucky enough to buy 3 of them from the seller by emailing him and asking him if he had any more like it for sale. This was before the write up about it and before they became well known, I got them for 20 bucks a peice and they have been selling for 200-400 on ebay now so I just got lucky with those. I got a low leaf in change and got a high leaf from a roll from the bank so I got lucky with those finds as well because its going to be hard to find these thiongs in change because everyone in the numismatic world is looking for them. But anything is possible as I stated I did get one in change

People are still finding all kinds of good stuff in change, so I am sure there is some chance of finding one. Even if not, the prospect of it is pretty exciting.

There are also many filled die errors on the Nevada and Kansas quarters. They don't carry much value, but they are interesting errors.
