Jonathan/macfish here. I am a recent newbie to the site. I used to be a collector (mostly coins) then got out of collecting through the late sixties and most of the seventies then sold most of my collection in 1980 to buy books for school. One of things that I sold was was a note (Continental?/Federal?) for $3 that I believe was dated 1791 and was signed by Robert Morris. It was pretty beat up (had been folded a few times) and a bit tattered at the edges but still quite easily discernable including his signature. I bought it around 1965 for maybe three dollars. I am presuming that it was authentic and had little trouble selling it in 1980 though I have no idea what I got for it. It is one of the things that I wish I had held onto. Unfortunately since I do not have it anymore I can't post a pic of it though I wish I could. Anybody have an idea of what it was and what it might have been/is worth? Jonathan

I've had this bill for over 25 yrs.
It's an 1884 $1 black eagle which clearly shows "bleeding" from
both sides. The center eagle, the ser. #s and the Seal were
transposed onto the back of the bill (about 40%).

On the front of the bill, both "1s" and the outer drawing
from the back bled onto the front.
Any opinions if these flaws add any value to the bill..?

macfish-- a continental note in Fair/Good condition would only bring around 40-50$ today ...but with a special signature such as Benjamin Franklin could bring several hundred $
don't worry about the past...I once gave up buying a 308 Ferrari for 25K just before Enzo Ferrari died...needless to say ..it would be worth over $100K today!

picaso-- you should post your note with pics as a "new topic"....there are plenty of CCF members to help you out on your paper money questions.
