Can-Anyone-Identify-These-Please

Hello all,
I inherited a large collection of Israeli official coins and medals plus trade coins from Israel and The British mandate. Would like to know if anyone has idea where to sell them other than ebay (I would like to sell as whole and not deal with parting out)

As for these 3 coins in the pictures:
The single coin is light colored (maybe silver, not sure) about 31mm diameter and 2mm thick. Hebrew lettering say "Shekel Israel" with amphora or cup of sort, other side say "holy Jerusalem" with a branch of ?
The 2 other coins: larger is about 21mm diameter, 4.5mm thick, Smaller is about 18mm diameter, 3mm thick. Might be copper or bronze, dark patina. Smooth edges seem hand honed. Seem too thick to be a real coin but I'm no collector.
Lettering in ancient hebrew (maybe) and cup on one side, pomegranates on other side.

Anyone can tell me what they are and worth will be great

Sadly, none of your mystery items are real coins.

The two with similar designs are "tourist copies" of ancient Jewish coins from the time of the First Revolt, 66-70 AD. The original coins were made of silver, which your coins clearly aren't; see this Wildwinds page for numerous examples and varieties of genuine shekels. The one on the left is "dated" Year 3 while the other is Year 2.

The third coin is what is known as a "false shekel", and its design is actually based on the silver shekels your first two are copied from. The cup with two Hebrew letters above it (which actually represent the date of issue) has morphed into a vase with steam coming out of it, while the sprig of pomegranates on the other side has become Aaron's Rod. The inscriptions say the same thing as the ancient coins say, only in modern Hebrew script. See this article on the American Israel Numismatic Association website for the whole story.

Then I'd recommend finding a local coin dealer that deals in world coins. They'll be happy to take them off your hands for you, but you won't get anywhere near as much money for them as you would by breaking the collection up and selling each coin individually on ebay.

Thanks for all the good info.
They didn't seem that old. Not sure why my grandfather who knew coins bought them (many years ago)

As for the collection. I know it can be better sold broken up, but Israeli coins don't seem to have much value above their metal (the ones that have precious metal) Any other place besides ebay? After their cut and postage there is not much left, and I don't see much movement in Israeli coins there.

Just read the article you linked to.
Interesting! But that means these might still be quite old (19th century or so)
Do they have any collectors' value at all?

Thanks again
