so I was searching a box of halves when I noticed a lot of shinny faces looking up at me. I opened a few and they were all 2001-D pretty much UNC no signs of wear or circulation... are these worth holding onto? I have not opened some of them that have 2001-D on either end.. I wasnt sure if they too would all be the same becuase I figured that they all go through the same hopper with mixed dates. I opended other rolls with just 1 01 sticking out and I got a few otheres mixed in with other older ones. so my other question would be would an opened roll of 2001-D UNCs be worth saving? or back to the bank with them?>

i would keep a roll. (not that its really worth anything). I found 20 uncirculated 1996-D in a box and decided to take them and roll them up and keep them (not worth really but I can use them or spend them)

I'd send 'em back - if they were 2001-P, then I'd keep them. Although I'm not sure why I would since they made like 20+ million of each.

Keep em' ! .... I say !

In 40 years or so.....they could double in face value by collectors who want them at that point for their albums/trading/etc..... (sort of joking.....but then not really too...if you can afford to keep em, and have the space to do so....what does it hurt to let some years or decades roll by and see what happens)

It's always great to find a solid roll of anything. As far as selling, I'd just hold onto them. They appear to be a trade item. Good luck!
