Found this coin in the assorted Walker bin at my local shop. It probably only grades G-6 or so, but the rims are full and color and surfaces look original. The little rim nick on the obverse is acceptable at this grade level IMO.

I've never seen this date before in the bargain bin. I thought it was well-worth the $8 "junk silver" price.1917-S-Obverse-Walker

As an aside, there were a couple dozen VF to EF Walkers from the 1930's in the bin that had been unfortunately shined up. Someone apparently cashed in their hoard to take advantage of the high silver price and foolishly decided to give 'em a nice hard polish before bringing them in. What a shame; the higher-grade coins probably looked really nice before they were ruined.

$8? Numismedia has this one at $25 in G-4 so I think you did really well!
Rest in Peace

I'd say VG, but the rim nick may knock it down a bit.
