Hi everyone, I am considering purchasing a coloured mens hockey raised 2 quarter. What would you consider Fair Market Value for one of these? What would you consider FMV for 10 of these?
Thanks

CRF, The OP was asking FMV...
Myself, I could spend a quarter. Not much into sports coins...

No idear...$3-5? Obviously anything better than a 63 is going to command more of a premium, as most of them were pretty marked up.

so $105 for 18 of them ($5.80 each) from a mint roll seems to be what some would pay and more than what others would pay. This is the deal I'm considering. Any other opinions?

$6 ea. is a super deal I would say.
Based on the bids I've seen you will sell back with a decent profit.

I know it is highly embarrassing...I am fairly sure that I have seen photos of the different coloured Men's Hockey Quarters here in the forum. However, I just cannot find them I someone knows where this thread is, please, make a link.

Also the red paint (or dye?) appears in pixels and doesn't properly spread around the design as it should, in my opinion. You should look at a few and pick the best ones because after seeing the Cindy Klaussen colourized quarters it's clear that some were made "better" than others just by the colour alone, nevermind the lustre and details.

22 million men's hockey quarters were minted, of which 3 million were red, of which it was estimated 200,000 were the "raised 2" variety (or about 1% of production). The painted red men's hockey quarters (made for gift sets) were all countersunk 2's, so raised 2's were only found in circulation. I'm not sure if the raised 2 red could be defined as a mule. I believe the RCM admitted they were produced in error, i.e. they did not intend to use that Rev die for red coin production. If that makes it a mule, then it could be worth a lot one day. But since it was relatively easy to find in mint rolls (I found 12 in about 40 rolls), perhaps $10-20 is a more "fair" FMV. edit-Splatto I would definitely take that deal, you'll have no trouble selling these for $10-20-30 if you wait.
