Chinese Coin? | Dragon Amulet? - Coin Community Forum

Matnaveli New Member United Kingdom 4 Posts	Posted 09/19/2010 1:29 pm Hi there, I have no idea what this coin is. I am guessing it's chinese as it has a dragon either side? My father found it in the garden back in 1964. We have taken it to few museums and nobody seems to know anything about it or its origin. If anybody can help, we would be very grateful. Thanks. It looks to have no similar characteristic to the normal dragon styles that you find in Asia. Definatly looking forward to some input from some others. Report this Post to the Staff

I researched different types of dragons (designs) but couldn't find anything remotely similar to the dragon on the (coin). Do you think it could be jewellery as it has a drilled hole in it? It's a privately-made medal; I suspect it was made as a piece of jewellery. It's not a Chinese dragon - those aren't depicted with wings, like this one has. Are you near/in Wales? It could be a Welsh dragon. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S.
