in hand it does not look ms64, there are some scratches and the luster is about half there. more of a frosty blast white look... but thanks for aiming high!

With Morgan's I always mistake wear and weak strike. I would have said AU

Just did comparison with PCGS coin facts for this year Morgan. A 64 is not out of the question. However the marks you refer to are hard to tell what caused them.
Here is the definition of what PCGS considers clash marks.
The images of the dies seen on coins struck from clashed dies. The obverse will have images from the reverse and vice versa.

Clashed dies are ones that have been damaged by striking each other without a planchet between them. Typically, this imparts part of the obverse image to the reverse die and vice versa.
I would post a pic of a clashed coin but can not include pics until I reach a certain level.
Hope this helps.

Very nice coin that I would grade at MS-63.

depending on if its wear or weakness...

AU58/MS62 is my guess. Maybe 63 if I could see in hand.

I gotta say AU, the luster looks to missing from the highest points. Just looks beyond BU status, but not by much, AU-55/58

From the pictures given, I am 100% confident that this is a AU 58. Luster impairment on the cheek, a little rub on the breast feathers and the bag marks look dulled from slight circulation.

Oh ya, you also wanted photo comments.

They are good shots, I think you got quality down. Just work on your lighting or white balance, color, and a more neutral background.
