Guys, this is another Shield nickel I got recently.....thought I'd put it on here for anyone who would like to practice their Shield nickel grading skills. Nope, it's not graded - I'm just looking for opinions to see if they match my own. What do you think?

Is flatness at top of shield? For now, slight wear on high points. AU55

Looks like AU53 to me. I see pretty even contact wear on the rim of the shield and leaves. All in all, a very nice coin.

45; not sure if AU...can't see any signs of luster plus it looks like enough rub to possibly not make that designation.
Rest in Peace

The reverse is solid AU-50 or better, but the obverse shows quite a bit of weakness on the leaf high points, the upper shield and shield rims, and the denticles. Some of that is probably strike weakness and the denticles could be weak from Die Deterioration. The lack of luster however suggests the obverse at least is worn to below the AU level. I'd call this coin EF-45 overall.

The 1875 is a better date and not easy to find. Nice addition!

I was also thinking 45. Needs more luster to make AU imho. Nice coin!

45-50 for me. The reverse is definitely stronger than the obverse. I like it :)
