I took these photos outside because the indoor photos failed to show the coin luster and details. I know there is some glare, but it is not where the details show.

Which photo is best?

The first one, less glare on the face.

But on the first one, there are no details on the face that are being obstructed by the glare, whereas the glare does appear to obstruct some details in the hair. Wouldn't the second one better for grading purposes, as you can see more details in the hair?

Try to take the image straight on instead of at an angle. I personally like the second one better, although they both look relatively similar.

The first one is better for the hair/crown, and the second one is better for the face IMO
