Did you know that as far as these red seals go, there were more New York district notes printed than all other districts combined ?

I can safely say that I didn't know that. Which is the rarest?

Not to get this topic back on track or anything but...

The USS New York survivor of two world wars. Only to be scuttled after surviving two atomic bombs tests in 1946.

Dallas, Atlanta, and Kansas City seem to be the scarcest of the $20 red seals. There are two subtypes of each district, and I have been going for the scarcer of each rather than a type set.

I think that maybe if we were to suggest shapes like hearts, triangles, circles, clovers, diamonds, etc that could 'symbolize' the district or series, that the BEP would love the idea, and add it to the notes in order to lessen the confusion left by only district numbers and letters. Things like 'l' as the first character in the serial or 'series 2006', also leave much to the imagination evidently. Maybe a huge quarter moon in yellow braille underprint could tell us the series as well.

I have never owned a battleship Nick. I am envious, as I believe that yours is not one of the more common districts as well.

You have been busy, Zee! Some great looking notes there. How many Horse Blankets do you have all together?

I really don't know. I only have a few scanned. They always com out at 1000+ dpi, and I have to resize them to 90 dpi for this site, so it is quite a hassle for me. I am not a computer geek.

Here are FR-16A and FR-17.
