Quote: I have to resize them to 90 dpi for this site I also had to do that with the five I posted. Whenever I get around to scanning the other 20 I'll scan them at the right size & save a step.

That 1899 $2 silver certificate is one of the earlier (and scarcer) signature combinations tumbleweed.

zeewool, Are you referring to the bottom $2 bill tumbleweed posted? I've got the one I posted earlier in the thread and wouldn't mind hearing opinions on it's value.

Yes, that's the one Rick. I am more of a rarity collector when it comes to banknotes, and I get what I like without regard to grade or price, so I am certainly no expert when it comes to grades or values, but your note looks to be in the F-VF range, so I would expect its value to be around $175-$250. Nice looking note Rick.

Thanks zeewool, I bought mine years ago only because I thought it was a good looking bill. It's the only paper I've ever purchased. Some of you guys have some seriously nice paper!

This is all I have, 34A. Found it hidden in the back of a stamp album. Biggest stamp I've ever seen! Edit: Rats, I got the gray background :(

Yes Troy....'certificado de plata' means silver certificate....this is the back of the note. I would imagine that the face of the note bears a strong resemblance to a 1923 U.S. $1 silver certificate.
Neat find.

Maybe it is a 1917 U.S. $2 note on one side and a one peso Cuban on the other?
