What is up with this coin? Is it a mint error? It seems to be a lamination error, but I have no experience with coins so I thought I would ask you all.

I was thinking it was possible that it was damaged after minting, but because of the jagged edge I can't come up with what would cause that type of thing to happen. I do not think it was a screwdriver, even at an angle. I suppose I could attempt to recreate that scenario and compare the coins.

It's coin damage. Why would you want to recreate damage? It would just ruin another coin.
