I have more Shield Cents than I know what to do with and yet I still can't stop myself from getting them out of the register when I see them. What can I do? Adam

you know I have only seen a few of those things in circulation so far? At first I thought we were going to be flooded with them around here because I saw my first one kind of early on but its kind of trickled down to a halt now

You are actually finding Gem B/U ones in circulation? Every one I've seen so far gas been spotted and Lincoln has been rubbed dull. I've found cents from the 60s that are more B/U than any shield cents I've found so far.

I've found a few, all bu. I keep em all, too. Now I'm not finding many. Thed tide has shifted to 2010-D nickels. Found 2 in 1 week.

I say keep the ones your finding if your not finding very many.I have found only around 20 while roll searching and have kept most of them, the ones that are not in good enough condition go back to the wild. John1

My area is flooded with them. Get 5-10 in each roll I search now. Have found 6-7 solid boxes of them.

They are popping up all over the place here down south. Bought a roll of Fed rolled ones from a clerk at Wall-Mart, I spotted the roll in her cash drawer.

Some got em'........some ain't.......as per normal.
P & D mintage numbers are known....the overall crappy condition is common knowledge now.....and they don't fair very well for very long "in the wild".....so I say, cabbage onto any BU ones you find !

I've been getting them consistently for a while now. I almost have a full roll of higher grade ones and I have been spending the average ones.

When the newness of them and your excitement wears off, keep some of the nicest ones and put the rest back into circulation so the rest of us have a chance to find some in change.

My eyes pop open everytime I see one. Even though I have a couple rolls. If I dont get the ones I see I feel like I'm going to miss out on something. Its a disease I tell ya. The ones I've seen and been able to get, Were B/U their were two that looked pretty rough so I left them with one nice one in the take a cent leave a cent tray. This was in Somerville NJ Sunocco Station. I saw a roll of 09 dimes and nickels today I'm pretty sure they were 09. But the new manager at our wallgreens must of been having a bad day cause when I pointed at them (at a good distance) he got all jumpy please dont touch the draw. I just collected my change and walked out. That hurt cause I really want those.

I prefer the 2009 to the 2010. I'm kind of disappointed that the shield design is a permanent change. I'm going to miss that old memorial.
