Nice and shiny but it looks a little off. Did you weigh it?
There are so many counterfeit Morgans coming from China that now days you have to be sure to check the coins closely.
Even the weight may be close and still be a counterfeit.
IT should weigh 26.73 grams and 38.10 mm in diameter. Also check with a magnet. counterfeiters often use cheap copper inside to increase the weight. If there is copper inside, then it will stick to the magnet.
If it passes all tests, then you have a nice Morgan.

That's a nice looking Morgan!

Copper is a non-ferrous metal. It will not stick to a magnet.

Hope your expert board didn't "convict" any dealers on that.

I believe you have that backwards, they use cheap metals that MAY stick to a magnet if its counterfeit. The only legit coin that I know of that will ever stick to a magnet from the US is the steel cent, No other US coin should stick to a magnet. Copper has never been able to stick to a magnet so not real sure where that would even come from even if you misunderstood someone. If it sticks to a magnet you have problems, just has to do with cheap metal instead of copper in the coin
