I just noticed my 1999 WAM has a die clash. Does this help or hurt it's value?

I would say it doesn't add anything to it.

numismo:

No added value.

Check out Ken Potters article on this from 2007.

Thats one of the die markers for the 1999 WAM.

I cannot wait to look through all my 2000. I seem to recall some similar markers.

Wouldn't add any value but might explain why the 1999 WAM is so much tougher than the 98 or the 2000. The dies clashed, it was noticed and the reverse die was pulled.

Just found a 1999 WAM last night and has the same markers in Ken Potters article. Are these not as rare as once thought or am I just lucky ? I just learned about WAM's and in $62 worth of pennies have found two 98's,one 99,and two 2000's.

So Maine!! is where they hid all the 99 WAM's! If you got a 99 in change in Maine you maybe should be buying boxes up of pennies up there. Where there is smoke, there is fire. My bet is there are plenty more where you live. I have family in Machiasport, diligently waiting for their next chance to freeze their noses off. How close are you? I could dispatch them to buy me boxes as well.

legend, my family is from Bath,Maine but I live in Pa(jobs other than fishing)...I live near Waynesboro where the big dump of 1983DDR's happened back when(got two). I've already gone to my bank and made arrangements to get $50 in pennys every week. That 99 came from my daughter's boyfriend...he had $11.50 in pennies...3 wheats,a proof 64,a 2006 doubled date( I think MD) and the 99 WAM. The other WAM's were all pocket change from friends.I hadn't even heard of WAM's till a couple of weeks ago..yes I'm out of touch...now hoping for a 92 CAM

But wait, I thought the exact same thing during my second wedding ceremony. On a serious note, what luck you have. Must be Karma.

Well guys,I thought the same thing...this is way too easy...if it makes you feel better, they are not in the best condition. The second one has green junk on it and what looks like corrosion.Still debating if I should try to clean it, or maybe soak in olive oil to stop the corrosion.Any thoughts on that ?

I have found a few 99's here in Ky, but have not found any lately.

Maybe they went on their annual migration to Maine!!
