Anyone have any idea of what the squiggly is just to the right of the date? I've been told Red Book doesn't list any anomalies for 1954 for this coin. Just some sort of damage? Coloration seems to match adjacent numbers/letters so if it's damage, I wouldn't say it's recent.

It looks like a scratch to me, but maybe it is a small die crack?
Rest in Peace

Your coin has patchy toning on it and the squiggly looks like it is just a toning issue to me.

I agree with the toning falling off the coin.

The area next to the 4 is just lacking toning. However, the overall appearance of the coin leads me to believe that it is staining and not toning due to the liquid-like splotchiness.
