Wow...that's an interesting relic.
It's also an overdate--it looks to be 1808/7

That engraving is really cool looking. I realize this kind of thing is generally regarded as post-mint damage, but in this circumstance, I really like it!

Nobody writes in that kind of script anymore. Penmanship is just not something that is taught anymore. I regularly have to read statements written by high school students and what seems like the majority of the time, the penmanship is terrible. It's a shame.

Mate I think you are right. I took this picture and posted right before I went to slept last night. WOW! Good picture! I had to take another look at the coin.

Very nice! I tend to keep any thing I find like that and wish there was a separate grading category for such things as this and love tokens.

I must agree. Whoever did this carved it into a chunk of metal and it looks so much better than what I can do with paper and pen.
