I put in a couple of max bids on 2 different quarters. At the time of the bids I was the only one that bid on these items. My max bids were 20.00 each. I know they won't hold but thats ok. It was showing me as the high bidder with a bid of 1.00 since I was the only one that had bid on the items at this point. Yesterday I went on to check them out and see where the bids were at and I saw that one was now up to my max bid of 20.00 and the other was up to 9.00. It is still showing that there is only 1 bidder on each of these auctions. What I don't understand is why have the bids jumped up when there are no other bidders? I don't get it. Does heritage juice up their auctions when they see a bid on an item?

I'm not sure, but maybe it only shows one bidder as long as your max hasn't been reached. I have bid on items that have had proxy bids on them and my bid never shows up but the bid amount increases.

I guess that could be it. I think they should still show it as another bidder bidding on it even though they don't have the high bid. Just to avoid the confusion. Makes it seem they raise your bid up for no reason. Thanks Susan
