Hi guys, I am looking for a reliable coin dealer and coin supplies store to buy capsules and coin trays as well as other high quality (preferably lighthouse/leuchttrum) supplies in London. I know a few shops (namely Coincraft and Michael's) but they're not exactly what I am looking for... Any ideas/suggestions?.. I am not living in London and because of that I can't buy on-line, I visit there frequently. Thanks.

Charing cross market, on Saturday mornings next to Charing cross station is limited to just coins and stamps, and often some dealers will have some coin supplies as well. Also worth checking out if you get a chance, can get the odd find there

The dealers that attend vary over time, but undoubtedly some of them will carry supplies for sale, as far as I can recall there will usually be some. Failing that there is two small coin shop's just up the charing cross road, one called the gold coin exchange on charing cross road, another a little further up down one of the small shopping streets off the side of charing cross road, on the same side. Between the three, I'm sure you will find the trays/capsules you are after. Or, if all those sources were to somehow let you down, just ask around the dealers at charing cross - most of them are friendly and would help you out with info. Should be an interesting morning regardless! Hope that helps.

Definately so!.:) I'll be there on mid-November, if you want to join, coffees are on me. :-) Some dealers in London are very very friendly... some are not.. I've met my share of unfriendly dealers in London in the past. I've met a dealer in Carlisle who was very very friendly. Perhaps argumentandcoins know him.

Dealers always a bit of a mixed bunch.... most general antique dealers I find to be very miserable, but found a good few friendly coin dealers. I tend to try and go once a month, who knows might be there to take you up on a coffee!

I see that you will be in London in Mid November, Unfortunately you will then miss the next London coin fair at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Bloomsbury which takes place on November 6th. I have been there many times. It is excellent for coins, medals and supplies. There is also a coin auction at the same time. You van find further details here http://www.simmonsgallery.co.uk/200...LCF/lcf.html

I've been checking websites of some certain London coin dealers... their prices for some certain coins which are so common in ebay horrified me. :) The usual story..:)
